Specifications Trabant 600 Kombi Wagon 1962 blueprint

The Trabant 600 Kombi Wagon 1962 was a small economy car produced by East German automaker VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke. This unlikely combination of wagon and sedan was produced from 1962 to 1991, and was popular among East German motorists for its reliable construction and affordable price. The Kombi Wagon was powered by a two-stroke, two-cylinder air-cooled 601cc engine combined with a four-speed manual transmission, producing just over 20 horsepower. Despite its small size, the Kombi wagon was surprisingly airy and comfortable, and could seat up four five adults, though it wasn't particularly fast. Having been designed during the Cold War, the Kombi wagon featured a boxy, utilitarian design with square headlights protruding from the flared front end. The Kombi wagon also featured an unusual full-length roof rack, which was commonplace for East German cars of the time and proved to be incredibly useful for transporting cumbersome and bulky items. The Trabant 600 Kombi Wagon 1962 is an iconic piece of automotive history that is still incredibly popular with collectors today due to its unique combination of utility, simplicity, and affordability.
