The Brabham BT24 F1 OW 1967 is a Formula One race car that embodied a unique combination of state-of-the-art technology, stylish looks, and sheer speed along with a good dose of history. The car's chassis was made from a steel monocoque which was built by the firm of Ward & Goldstone, while the engine was a Repco 3.0 litre V8. This engine used a Lucas fuel injection system and had an estimated power of 425bhp. This engine was capable of propelling the car to unbelievable speeds of over 180mph. Approaching the car, its most striking feature was the sleek and aerodynamic shape which was engineered in order to reduce drag and improve the aerodynamic performance of the car. Wheels were added to the car to give it a more traditional look, and these were alloy 13 inch 2 piece units that were designed and made by the Dunlop company. The bold red paint job and small decals around the car completed the look of the BT24. The overall length of the car was 4.4 metres, and the weight of the car was around 600kgs. The Brabham BT24 F1 OW 1967 was definitely a marvel of engineering and a gorgeous piece of machinery that will be remembered and appreciated for generations to come.
