The Brabham Repco BT26 F1 OW 1968 race car, also known as the Flying Fish due to its iconic aerodynamic shape, is a grand prix racecar from the year 1968. It was designed by Ron Tauranac, and developed by Jack Brabham and his engineering team. It was powered by a 2.5 litre, 8-cylinder, 40 Valve, 3-litre Repco engine, and had an impressive top speed of nearly 230 mph. The chassis was light but strong, constructed from aluminium and magnesium alloy, and was designed to allow the engine and drivetrain to be easily accessed. The car featured independent front suspension and a de Dion rear suspension. The car also featured wide tires, and an adjustable ride-height system to help optimize grip. The car was visually striking, with its elegant sloped nose, and two sharp eyes on its nose-cover, giving it a unique look. Its aerodynamic shape also gave it a clear edge over other cars on the track, making it one of the most competitive cars of its time.
