The Ducati GP4 is a sleek and stylish road racing motorcycle manufactured by Ducati in 2006. At its time, the GP4 was ahead of its competition in terms of technology and design, displaying impressive performance and a unique character in true Ducati fashion. The Ducati GP4 was equipped with a 998 cc 90° L-twin engine, featuring a unique valve timing setup and a titanium connecting rod. This allowed for a high-performance engine capable of achieving up to 190 horsepower and 95 lb-ft of torque. The engine was mated to a close-ratio 6-speed transmission giving this motorcycle a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 2.7 seconds. In terms of its chassis, the Ducati GP4 was every bit as modern and well-built as its engine. The frame was made from high tensile steel trellis with an aluminum side tank whereas the suspension was handled by a beautiful Marzocchi forks at the front and a fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock. This gave the GP4 plenty of stability on the track, allowing it to tackle corners with great agility. The braking system was equally impressive, featuring 4-piston Brembo calipers up front with a single 2-piston caliper in the rear. The Ducati GP4 also featured a plethora of modern technology for its time. It had an electronic fuel injection system, MotoGP inspired traction control, and adjustable riding modes. This came together to provide the rider with an enhanced riding experience which was backed up by great looks. The Ducati GP4 featured a classic Ducati design which was highlighted by the red subframe and tank set against the matte black frame and cast aluminum wheels. The Ducati GP4 was soon hailed as one of the best bikes in the class, thanks to its combination of power and agility. This has earned it a permanent spot in the hearts of many Ducati fans.
