The McLaren MP4/13 Mercedes F1 OW 1998 is the fourth iteration of the McLaren MP4 race car. It is powered by a 3.0-litre V10, double-overhead camshaft engine, with pneumatic valve-actuation, designed and developed by Mercedes-Benz. The engine produces around 768 bhp and the top top speed is said to be just over 360 km/h. The car has the trademark McLaren chassis and aerodynamic appendages, including titanium and sophisticated rubber aerofoils for both front and rear wings that are claimed to produce up to four times more downforce than the previous MP4 generation. In addition, the McLaren MP4/13 Mercedes F1 OW 1998 also features semi-automatic paddle clutch shifting, with seven speeds for excellent acceleration. Furthermore, its weight and balance have been adjusted to match the engines power for the best possible performance. With a dry race weight of 600kg and a width of just under 1.85m, the McLaren MP4/13 Mercedes F1 OW 1998 has been the epitome of the F1 race cars of its time.
