The McLaren MP4-17 was one of the most formidable F1 cars of 2002, built with the express purpose of finally bringing the championship title back to the Marque. The combination of aerodynamics, materials and design pushed the boundaries of technical innovation and produced a vehicle with blistering performance and cutting-edge engineering. The monocoque shell of the MP4-17 was made from a lightweight carbonfibre composite and featured completely aerodynamic front and rear wings. On the aerodynamic side, the 17 featured a high nose cone, a slotted floor, sidepod wings and rear end "dumbo"wings. This setup provided extra downforce and balance while the larger cutouts in the floor created cleaner air flow and more efficient cooling. In order to add to the performance of the car, the power plant was placed in the middle of the chassis, allowing for optimum balance. The engine of the MP4-17 was a 3.0L Mercedes-Benz Mercedes FO 110-F one-cylinder, V10 engine with a maximum power output of 900 HP. This allowed the car to reach a top speed of over 350 km/h and produced medium- to high-rpm acceleration. To give the driver greater control, the 17 featured a 7-speed gearbox with semi-automatic shift and paddle shifters. The transmission was combined with a limited-slip differential which allowed for precise handling even under hard cornering pressures. For suspension, the McLaren featured a double wishbone setup with inboard dampers and springs, as well as anti-roll bars and dampers. Overall, the McLaren MP4-17 was one of the best F1 cars of 2002, and featured a combination of technical innovation, performance and design that still remains formidable today. It proved to be one of McLaren's most successful entries to the championship, proving the team could take a championship title for the first time in many years.
Careful measurement of the actual dimensions of the models, when creating their sketches, guarantees the high accuracy of our drawings, which is at the level of 94% - 99%.
When creating working drawings, all proportions of the depicted objects are strictly maintained.
You no longer need to create individual drawings of parts from scratch. The required changes to existing works are easily made using graphic editors.
