The Matra MS120 F1 GP OW 1970 is a classic Formula One race car that captured the hearts of many racing fans during the 1970s. This iconic race car was designed by Robert Choulet and features an aerodynamically efficient aerofoil monocoque chassis made of aluminium and magnesium alloy. The car also featured the first pneumatic-valve-controlled engine, a 3-litre V12 capable of producing 510 horsepower at a maximum of 10,500 rpm. It also featured a Hewland 5-speed gearbox and a four-wheel-drive system, making it a force to be reckoned with on the track. The Matra MS120 F1 GP OW 1970 also featured significant body modifications in the form of a collection of air-cooling scoops, side pods, and a rather sophisticated rear spoiler made up of a series of curved panels designed to give the pilot the necessary downforce. While the car was painted a striking orange and white, the lack of sponsors meant that the car was referred to as the Egg Box due to its unique egg-shaped body. The Matra MS120 F1 GP OW 1970 no doubt played an important role in Formula One racing, and rightly so thanks to its sheer speed and versatility. It has an excellent weight/power ratio and is capable of reaching incredible speeds of up to 300 km/h. It was quite a unique car of its time and is commonly regarded as a true classic of Formula One.
