Specifications Matra MS10 F1 GP OW 1968 blueprint

The Matra MS10 F1 GP OW 1968 is a legendary Formula One race car, renowned for its spectacular performance and impressive design. Built by the French auto manufacturer Matra, the MS10 was an innovation during its time, with drivers such as Jean-Pierre Beltoise and Jacky Ickx taking the wheel of the vehicle in the 1968 Formula One season. The MS10 single-make chassis was made from aluminum and constructed using a space frame design. The chassis was mounted on a suspension system comprising of double wishbones as well as coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers. Beneath the hood was a Cosworth-supplied 1.8-liter Ford/Matra V8 engine, which delivered an impressive 330 horsepower and a maximum torque of 270 Nm. The MS10's aerodynamics had been designed to maximize the car's downforce and, despite its relatively simple appearance, it was an extremely versatile racecar. The vehicle was equipped with a 4-speed Hewland gearbox allowing the driver to switch gears quickly and efficiently. Braking was provided by four-wheel discs, complemented by the car's lightweight design. The Matra MS10 was also notable for its aesthetic appeal, with its bold, racing-inspired livery that included bright blue and yellow colors. This impressive race car continues to be remembered in the annals of Formula One racing history and remains a favorite among motor sports aficionados.
