The Lotus 43 F1 OW is a vintage race car from 1966 designed by the British constructor Colin Chapman. Its bodywork came from the famous Lotus 25 and 32 models. The coupé-style chassis was made from light steel and aluminum for optimal balance and performance. Its slender frame was designed with aerodynamics in mind and featured a front-mounted, 1.99-Liter Ford-Cosworth DFV V8 engine, producing around 260 horsepower. This engine was mated to a four-speed Hewland FG400 gearbox. The car was fast and nimble, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds. The non-independent suspension system featured outboard springs on the double wishbone front and rear. The Dunlop brakes provided excellent stopping power. Its distinctive blue and yellow livery became iconic in the racing world and it has become a much sought-after classic the world over. The Lotus 43 F1 OW is an iconic piece of motorsport history, combining classic racing look and feel with advanced modern technology.
