Specifications Ducati Desmodsedici GP4 (2004) blueprint

The iconic Ducati Desmosedici GP4 is a revolutionary road-racing motorcycle manufactured from 2004 to 2007. In 2004, Ducati sought to take their legendary racing pedigree to the next level by introducing the GP4, a machine that combined all the best components of the track and the street. It featured a 4-stroke 989cc liquid cooled V4 engine capable of producing in excess of 180hp, the highest power output of any Ducati production bike at the time. The frame and bodywork were hinged on cutting-edge materials with highly advanced aerodynamics for maximum speed and performance. The chassis was designed to minimize weight and improve cornering, and featured lightweight aluminum trellis, alloy swingarms, and Ohlins upside-down forks. The stopping power was courtesy of radially-positioned Brembo monoblocks with four pistons each. A unique fuel tank position on the front of the machine provided improved weight balance and aerodynamics. The Ducati Desmosedici GP4 is an iconic piece of motorcycling history, a machine that symbolized technological evolution and racing excellence.
