The Sauber C13 F1 OW 1994 was built by the Swiss racing team, Sauber Motorsport, for the 1994 Formula One season, and was powered by a Ford ED V10 engine. The chassis was designed by Sauber veteran Peter Sauber in collaboration with Aldo Costa and Leo Williams, and was the first Sauber chassis to be fully designed and built in Switzerland. The C13 featured a low line chassis, with a central driving position, surrounded by the two longitudinally mounted V10 engines. The car had an aerodynamic package consisting of a large wing at the rear and a double-element rear wing. The C13 also featured high levels of downforce thanks to sophisticated suspension designs, which allowed the car to stay in contact with the ground at all times. In terms of design, the C13 was a contemporary machine with a sleek, lightweight, and agile look. The car was powered by a Ford ED V10 engine, which was able to deliver up to 800 horsepower. The car was fitted with a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox, which allowed for fast and efficient gear changes during races. The C13 was surely one of the most advanced Formula One vehicles of its era, with excellent mechanical and aerodynamic performance. Even though the C13 had a respectable record in Formula One racing, the team did not have sufficient funds to be competitive against teams like Ferrari and Williams. The Sauber C13 F1 OW 1994 is an important part of Formula One's history and it remains one of the most iconic Sauber cars ever made.
