The Murcilago is a supercar from Italian automaker Lamborghini. It is the brands first car under Audi management. Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, it aims to compete with the Ferrari 575M in the super-sports segment. The name Murcilago - bat in Spanish - evokes that of a bull famous for having withstood 24 sword blows during a bullfight in 1879. The Murcielago, released in 2002, succeeds the Diablo from which it takes over the engine. V12 whose displacement is increased to 6.2 L. This develops 580 horsepower.
