The Jordan 196 F1 OW 1996 is a Formula One racing car and the last of the car to be fielded by the Jordan Grand Prix team. It was driven by Rubens Barrichello and Martin Brundle during the 1996 F1 season. The main feature of the car is its narrow and low stance, enabling it to generate amazing levels of aerodynamic efficiency. This design also allows for unobstructed airflow between the front and rear wings, improving downforce and stability. The car features a classic sharp nosecone, along with flat sidepods and a high rear wing. The use of light weight materials and advanced technologies like integrated active suspension enable the car to take on high speed corners with ease and precision. The Jordan 196 F1 OW comes with a powerful Honda V10 engine, which produces a maximum power output of nearly 800 bhp and a rev peak of more than 19,000 rpm. The car also gets a six-speed sequential semi-automatic gearbox, enabling it to reach top speeds of around 260 km/hr. The car features an advanced traction control system, which helps the driver to maximize power distribution to all four wheels. The car's aesthetic appeal is enhanced by the presence of iconic insignias like the chequered flag that is imprinted on the engine cover and the large Jordan script shield on the front nosecone. The main colors of the car are black, silver and yellow, giving it a classic look. The main livery also features the eagle logo to signify the power, dynamism, and courage of the team.
