The Arrows A7 F1 OW 1984 is a Formula One racing car, designed and manufactured by Arrows for the 1984 FIA Formula One World Championship. The car featured a carbon-fibre chassis and an aerodynamically efficient body design, allowing the car to achieve impressive cornering capabilities. Powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre Honda RA163E V-6 engine, the Arrows A7 F1 OW 1984 registered up to 850 horsepower. The car was driven by Brazilian driver Thierry Boutsen and British driver Eddie Cheever Jr. during the 1984 season. Following the Arrows A7 F1 OW 1983, the 1984 Arrows A7 F1 OW featured numerous improvements that allowed it to challenge the front-running cars of the time. To reduce drag, the car was fitted with a low nose profile and narrow sidepods, while the chassis featured raised middle sections that further aided in the car's aerodynamic efficiency. For improved handling and balance, the Arrows A7 F1 OW 1984 was fitted with a lightweight composite monocoque chassis, allowing for maximum torsional stiffness and improved response on the track. The car also featured advanced suspension systems, including gas-filled dampers and adjustable anti-roll bars all around that helped improve handling characteristics further. The Arrows A7 F1 OW 1984 also featured a quick-shift gearbox to allow for rapid shifts, further improving acceleration and the car's performance.
