Macchi C.200 Saetta was an Italian World War II singleseat fighter aircraft. It was manufactured by Macchi Aeronautica with the guidance of Mario Castoldi the chief designer. More than a thousand vehicles were produced during the period from 19391942. During that time no significant changes had been achieved. The first combat flight took place in the autumn of 1940. In 19411943 they used on the Eastern Front in North Africa. Then served as training units. They were valued by pilots at high speed maneuverability and strength of the structure. At the beginning of the fighting it was the best thing aircraft of the Italian Air Force then practically disabled as it was no longer up to its task. It applies as the attack plane.
