The MAVAG Hejja II was a Hungarian World War II fighter. Manufactured by MAVAG in the early 40s. About 200 units had been manufactured for 4 years 19411945. Initially the Italian Reggiane Re.2000 fighter was taken as a model but the new Hja II was a complete development of Hungarian engineers the air frame engines and munitions were domesticallymade. Initial flight was in October 1942. It was used jointly with the German forces in combat operations against the USSR on the Eastern Front. However most were used for air defense and as training.
