Specifications VK 16.02 Leopard blueprint

The VK 16.02 Leopard is a German light tank design that was proposed during World War II but never entered mass production. It was designed as a reconnaissance and fast attack vehicle, with a weight of 16 tons and a top speed of 55 km/h. The tank was armed with a 75mm KwK 42 L/70 main gun and two 7.92mm MG 34 machine guns. The armor thickness of the VK 16.02 Leopard was up to 80mm on the front of the hull. The design of the VK 16.02 Leopard was a compromise between mobility and armor, it was intended to be faster and more maneuverable than other tanks of the time, while still providing a reasonable level of protection for the crew. The development of the VK 16.02 Leopard was cancelled in 1942 due to the focus on heavier tanks and the limited resources available during the war. It should be noted that this tank never entered service and only a single prototype was built.
