The DKW SS250 was a series of motorcycles and mopeds produced by the German company DKW in 1937. Described as a 'rolling work of art' by the manufacturer, the SS250 was a versatile and reliable machine. Featuring a stylish and streamlined design, the SS250 was powered by a 247cc two-stroke single cylinder engine with a single port exhaust and a three-speed manual transmission. It offered riders a number of impressive features, including a front and rear suspension system, and a four-speed gearbox. Thanks to the low weight of only 111kg, the SS250 was capable of reaching top speeds of up to 75km/h. The SS250 was also highly manoeuvrable, making it a great choice for city riders who needed to make quick turns or sudden stops. With its distinctive paintwork, chrome trim and stylish cast-aluminium wheels, the DKW SS250 was an attractive bike that commanded attention wherever it went. For its time, the SS250 was an advanced machine that was built to last and looked great too.
