The Shadow DN1 F1 OW (Original Wood) 1973 is a racing car built by Shadow Racing Cars, a British team that competed in Formula One from 1973 to 1975. The car was designed and built by Tony Southgate and featured a Cosworth DFV V8 engine. The car was notable for its unique wooden monocoque chassis, which was made of laminated layers of wood and epoxy resin, making it very light and strong. The Shadow DN1 F1 OW 1973 made its debut in the 1973 Formula One season, driven by Jackie Oliver and George Follmer. The car was relatively successful, with several podium finishes, however it was not able to achieve any victory in the championship.
