The Coloni C3B Subaru F12 F1 OW 1990 is a vintage Formula One racing car that was built for the 1990 season. Designed as a development of the C3A car of the previous season, the car was powered by the 3.5L Subaru engine, which produced 550bhp with a power-to-weight ratio of 495bhp/tonne. It featured a semi-automatic gearbox, and employed a spaceframe chassis along with ground-effect aerodynamics which provided great levels of downforce. The car had aluminium panels which were bonded to the spaceframe's steel structure to improve aerodynamic performance and reduce weight. It was fitted with adjustable wings and spoilers, with the latter featuring active aerodynamics which allowed greater levels of downforce to be generated. The car was often equipped with Brembo brakes, alloy wheels and Yokohama tyres. Its suspension featured pushrod operated single-spring-damper units, and it boasted excellent handling and agility on the track, enabling the driver to exploit its power and agility to the fullest. Overall, the Coloni C3B was a reliable and competitive machine of its time and, with the right driver, it had the potential to be a race-winning car.
