Specifications Chaparral 2F Coupe 1967 blueprint

The 1967 Chaparral 2F Coupe is an iconic road and track sports car that is as rare as it is beautiful. This car was designed for serious race-track performance in mind and was powered by a Corvette 327 V8 engine, which combined with the lightweight body made the 2F a formidable machine on the track. The vehicle also featured a unique fiberglass-based construction, which helped to keep the weight down and allowed for superior aerodynamic performance. Externally, the Chaparral 2F had an aggressive silhouette which featured a low, sloped front with wide, winged fenders. The rear featured a sleek rear wing and a distinctive louvered panel across the cars buttresses. This car featured a unique air brake system, which was activated by a large air duct in the front spoiler. Furthermore, this sports car had a large reflective windshield and black headlight bezels which added to its menacing look. Inside, the cabin featured two comfortable bucket seats and an upholstered three-spoke steering wheel for added comfort and control. All gauges faced the driver, and the vehicle featured a five-speed manual transmission with a reverse lockout system. The interior was outfitted in black leather with painted dash and center console surfaces. Under the hood, the Chaparral 2F Coupe featured a 4 x 3 bore and 4.8 stroke, delivering an impressive 325 hp and 365 ft-lbs of torque. Additional features included an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a cooling bypass system, and an electric fuel Pump. For its time, the 1967 Chaparral 2F Coupe was truly ahead of its time, combining top-notch performance with eye-catching design. Though it was only produced for two years, it quickly established itself as an automotive legend, and is still sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
