The PWS24 was a Polish singleengine passenger aircraft one of the few to come into serial production. Set up in the early 1930s by PWS at the request of LOT. In 1932 the aircraft was transferred to the trial operation where it worked on an equal footing with the Junkers F13 and the Dublin RXVI. Nonetheless the PWS24 was not used for a long time. The company made a second order for the PWS24bis that differed from the previous version with a more powerful engine unit and some painting changes. Good flight characteristics are swept along the military. And numerous aircraft were propped and put into service by the Air Force. They were used for aerial photography and secondary tasks. One of them was shot down. The other was evacuated to Romania where it was assigned to the Air Force.
