The Toleman TG185 F1 OW 1985 car, otherwise known as the Superboffin, is well known for its winning performance and unique design. The car was designed to utilise the now banned turbo boost, providing plenty of power that allowed it to remain competitive in the toughest of race conditions. It was developed as a partnership between Toleman and driven by Ayrton Senna. The car boasts a standard monocoque chassis and has a lightweight carbon-fibre body with a curved aerodynamic shape for maximum performance. The wheels are of a 16-inch diameter and feature a five-spoke alloy rim design for enhanced performance and improved top speed. The internal engine is a compact 1.5-litre turbocharged Renault EF15 V6 and uses an Oselli semi-automatic five-speed gearbox with a functional air-shifting mechanism. The suspension is double-wishbone with rocker arms operated by a push-rod, adjustable for both camber and toe-in. The brakes are designed using ventilated discs for improved braking power and a more comfortable driving experience. The interior offers the driver a comfortable and secure fit for races lasting many hours, due to its ergonomic seating and adjustable steering wheel.
