The Renault 10 Sedan was one of the most popular mid-sized cars in Europe from 1971 to 1983. Renault was known for its innovation, and the 10 was no exception. It featured a larger engine, six-speed gearbox, and more technology than its competitors with an all-aluminium Renault 10G engine that made it very successful in the european market. The 10 was a reasonably priced and practical 3-door sedan with front wheel drive and rear suspension designed for comfortable, pleasurable rides. It had a strong, aerodynamic body shape featuring creamy curves and a suave look. Long, tapered sides counterbalanced with a squared rear gave it a timeless and striking silhouette. Its interior was as stylish as its exterior, with wood-trimmed side panels and a centrally-positioned single-spoke steering wheel. The cabin was surprisingly spacious and comfortable with adjustable front seats and plenty of legroom. Underneath the hood, the 1.6L engine was not powerful but economical. This engine had an enlarged bore for increased performance and produced around 75 bhp. However, with a top speed of 86 mph, it was quite speedy for its time. Despite its age, the Renault 10 Sedan remained a reliable and trusty car until the end of its production in 1983. It was a favorite among european drivers and praised for its style, comfort, and performance.
