Introduced in 1950, the Peugeot 203u Commerciale Wagon was an impressive feat of engineering. Standing at 1420mm (4.5 feet) high, the wagon boasted a unique silhouette, with a high, swooping roofline and a miniature window in between the back doors. Inside, the 203u offered drivers a roomy cabin for five passengers, with plenty of storage for luggage, tools or supplies. Under the hood, the 203u featured a four-cylinder side valve engine that produced up to 24hp - enough to get the wagon up to an impressive 70km/h The 203u also featured four-wheel drum brakes and a rear-wheel drivetrain, giving it superior traction in all weather conditions. The body of the 203u was made from sheet steel panels which were mounted on a robust leather and steel frame. The exterior was typically painted in two-tone designs, with bold yellow and cream trim details. The cabin of the 203u was simply designed, but featured comfortable seating and plenty of headroom, even with the high roofline. Inside, the wagon featured wood grain trim, Bakelite knobs, and original Peugeot badges. The 203u Commerciale Wagon was the perfect addition to any family drive, providing drivers with a spacious and reliable vehicle that could handle any terrain while keeping everyone happy and comfortable.
