The MG Magnette ZB Sedan 1957 was a stylish, classically designed sedan with many advanced features for the time. The steel body was clothed in a low sleek and modern exterior design, a two-door fastback silhouette, rounded curves and tailfins. The exterior featured a prominent chromed grille with two headlamps flanking a mascot crest, and a two-tone color scheme that could be customized. The front fenders and hood had integrated air scoops, while the sides of the car featured chrome trim and sporty side-style exhaust outlets. The car also featured two chrome spear-style side mirrors, four-lug knock-off wheels and deep red taillights. Inside, the car was luxuriously appointed with a wood-grained dashboard, leather trim and door panels, and vintage-style MG round gauges with a white background. The driver was treated to a three-spoke tech-style steering wheel with a chrome horn-ring and bright chromed trim on the transmission tunnel. Seating was provided for five with two front bucket seats and a rear bench. Other creature comforts included an adjustable steering column, heater, cigar lighter, and a Selectaride adjustable rear suspension system that could be adjusted for a firm or soft ride. Under the hood, the MG Magnette ZB Sedan was powered by a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder overhead valve engine that delivered 86 hp. A three-speed gearbox directing power to the rear wheels provided smooth and efficient performance. The MG Magnette ZB Sedan was a stylish and sophisticated sedan that showcased the advances in automotive technology of the 1950s.
