The MAZ 537G Truck was a diesel-engine powered, heavy-duty Soviet truck produced in 1960. Known for its reliability, its rugged construction and its performance in off-road applications, this truck was a favorite of the Soviet military. It featured a wheelbase of 4,500 mm, and an overall length of 8,500 mm, with the cargo box extended. The cargo box could hold up to 6 tons of material, depending on the model. Its diesel engine was rated at up to 260 horsepower, with a torque of up to 830 Nm, and a top speed of 75 km/h. It was fitted with dual petrol tanks, for long-distance trips. The truck was known for its four-wheel drive, as well as its power shift and inter-axle differential. It was also outfitted with an advanced hydro-pneumatic suspension system. This, combined with its robust build, made it an excellent transport vehicle for difficult terrain. The MAZ 537G was also built to last, designed to provide years of trouble-free service, even in the most extreme conditions.
