The General Motors Corporation introduced the GMC S-15 Regular Cab LWB Pick-up in 1984, an iconic vehicle that combined rugged styling with outstanding performance. It had a unique appearance, with an angular body style that featured a flat hood and a boxy cab. The doors were painted to match the body whilst the hard tonneau cover was a contemporary maroon colour. The cab was equipped with air conditioning, as well as power windows to allow for ventilated summer travel.
