The Fiat 600 Multilpa Minivan of 1964 is truly a timeless classic. An iconic and charming mid-sized Italian mini-van, the 600 is a throwback to a simpler time and an iconic symbol of the past. The exterior of the Fiat 600 is a classic design, rounded, aerodynamic shape, crowned by a smooth line or Organic Geometry styling. Despite its small size, the 600 boasted a very roomy interior with great curves, offering comfortable seating space for up to four occupants. It was painted in a variety of colours throughout its production history. Under the hood, the 600 was powered by a throaty, reliable, yet economical 4-cylinder engine, displacing 800cc, and delivering an impressive 48hp at the crank. The engine was fed by two SU carburetors, and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Suspension was classic swing-arm suspension with torsion bar front and rear, ensuring a supple ride. On the inside, the 600 was outfitted with a generous offering of features and creature comforts. It was equipped with an AM/FM radio, power windows, an adjustable steering wheel, and plush, adjustable seating throughout. Even the fanciest versions came with an uptick of attractive interior fabrics as well as wood-grain trim. Somehow, the Fiat 600 Multilpa was able to combine substance with style in a simple, powerful package. It is a timeless reminder of the classic past, yet still charming enough for modern-day enthusiasts.
