The Ferrari F2007 F1 GP OW 2007 is a Formula One (F1) racing car that was designed and developed by Italian carmaker Ferrari. As an evolution of the F2005, the F2007 incorporated numerous aerodynamic and chassis improvements that sought to provide a more competitive car in the tight and competitive field of Formula One racing. The unique design of the F2007 featured a semi-low nose with a higher vertical center of gravity. This central design feature allowed for improved overall aerodynamics as well as a lower center of gravity and improved downforce. The F2007 also featured an evolution of the F2005s transverse gearbox, allowing Ferrari to make the most out of the advanced technology offered by the Italian carmaker. The F2007 was powered by a 2323 cc 90 V8 engine developed and engineered by Ferrari. The engine had a maximum output of 478 kW (645 bhp) at 19000 rpm. In terms of appearance, the F2007 was painted in the traditional Ferrari racing colors red with white stripes and had an 8-spoke wheel hub that helped to reduce drag. The aerodynamic design was further augmented by the introduction of the front and rear winglet. This small aerodynamic feature was designed to create a greater downforce and had become an increasingly important feature on all modern Formula One cars. Overall, the Ferrari F2007 was a strong competitor in the 2007 season of Formula One racing, helping to secure several race wins and runner-up finishes for Scuderia Ferrari. The legendary Italian carmaker continued to refine the design in the following years, but the F2007 would remain as one of the most successful Formula One cars ever created.
