The JAS 39 Gripen is a multi-role fighter jet developed by Saab of Sweden that has been in service since 1997. It is a compact and lightweight combat aircraft designed to be agile and highly maneuverable. The Gripen has an advanced thrust vectoring system, enabling it to perform advanced maneuvers and increase its maneuverability. The design features a low drag and high lift coefficient, resulting in a higher lift to drag ratio and less drag at supersonic speeds. Additionally, the Gripen is armed with advanced weapons, including IRIS-T, AIM-120 air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground munitions.
