The Mitsubishi A5M was a deck fighter aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Upgraded in February 1934 by Mitsubishi Dzukoge with the guidance of Dziro Horikoshi designer on the basis of requirements specifications of Japanese naval aviation. It was manufactured from 1937 to 1940. More than a thousand units were obtained. The Kindergarten combat was a War in China. The American Hock II Hock III Curtiss and the English Gladiators which were in service with the enemy were significantly inferior in maneuverability and speed of A5M. Such situation is changed when the Chan KaiShi aircraft began to receive Soviet E15bis and E16 fighters and SS bombers. Nonetheless our Soviet pilots recognized A5M as a worthy opponent.
