The La250 was an experimental model of a barring supersonic interceptor developed by 301DB. For the first time not only the aircraft itself was created but also radiocontrolled missiles i.e. airtoair aviation complex. It designs to intercept and hit guided missiles with aerial targets. The interception took place in automatic and semiautomatic modes. But subsequent accidents in the flight tests did not allow to meet the deadlines and according to the Chief Committee of the Air Force at the expense of that flight characteristics of the La250 began to become obsolete. Work was discontinued in the summer of 1959. The advance was carried out by Tupolev DB.
