Specifications FCM F1 blueprint

The FCM F1 was a French super-heavy tank project conceived during World War II. It was intended to counter the German heavy tanks and fortifications, particularly the formidable Tiger and Panther tanks. The FCM F1 was planned to be an immense vehicle, weighing around 140 tons, and armed with a 120mm main gun, one of the largest caliber guns of its time. The armor was proposed to be exceptionally thick, providing protection against most contemporary anti-tank weaponry. Propulsion for the FCM F1 was intended to be provided by a powerful engine, likely a modified aircraft engine, to move such a massive vehicle across the battlefield. However, due to the complexities and costs associated with its construction, as well as the changing tides of the war, the FCM F1 project never progressed beyond the design and prototype stage. Although it never saw active service, the FCM F1 remains a fascinating piece of tank history, representing the ambitious engineering efforts of France during World War II to develop a super-heavy tank capable of matching the firepower and armor of its adversaries.
