The Ural 4320 BM 21 1 Grad is an all-wheel drive off-road military truck produced at the Ural Automotive Plant in Russia. It has a robust and reliable 5.7 litre diesel engine which is paired to a six-speed manual transmission with air-assisted shifting, allowing the 4320 to handle a wide variety of terrains. The truck has a metal cab with an armoured roof that offers good protection against small arms fire and shrapnel. On the outside, the 4320 features a robust steel frame with large welded bumpers and mud flaps, two locking side doors, a roof-mounted winch for towing and recovery, and a central tire-inflation system (CTIS) for improved off-road handling and better fuel economy. The interior of the truck is quite spacious and contains two rows of seating for five passengers and generous cargo space behind. While the vehicle is primarily designed as a military truck, it can also be used for civilian applications such as towing and cargo hauling. In fact, it is frequently seen used for firefighting, rescue operations, and search and rescue missions. The durability and ruggedness of the 4320 also makes it a suitable choice for civilian applications such as long-duration off-road trips and expeditions.
