Specifications Steyr 2000A 2cm Flak-38AA Gun Carrier Truck 1944 blueprint

The Steyr 2000A 2cm Flak-38AA Gun Carrier Truck was a classic anti-aircraft weapon of World War II. Produced by the Austrian firm Steyr-Daimler-Puch in 1944, this four-wheeled truck was designed for the German military forces. Its cab was a steeply curved closed cabin, with a single front-facing seat for the driver. The light-weight chassis was supported by a double rear axle, designed to cope with the heavy weight of the gun and mount assembly. At the front of this truck was a large tray-like compartment for the Flak 38AA gun and supporting mount. This mounted unit was powered by a 22kW 440V generator for the MG 213 range finder. It included a folding shield for protection from airborne debris. The truck also featured a 6-speed gearbox with a hydrodynamic torque converter, as well as a number of tools and supplies including jacks, tow bar and a winch. It was produced of high-grade steel and provided optimal protection against the elements while remaining highly mobile. In wartime combat, the Steyr 2000A 2cm Flak-38AA Gun Carrier Truck was a reliable and integral part of Germanys anti-aircraft defense.
