Specifications Sizaire Naudin OW 1908 blueprint

Maurice Sizaire was born in 1877 and died in 1969. A friend of the family, Louis Naudin (1876-1913), came to help Maurice build their first car, around 1900. The factory was located in Courbevoie, at 52 rue Victor-Hugo. Georges Sizaire (1880-1924), the younger brother of Maurice, and Naudin took part in numerous motor racing events at the beginning of the 20th century, notably in the 12th Grand Prix of the ACF in 1912 with three vehicles in the hands of G. Sizaire (retirement in the 17th of the 20 laps), of Thomas Schweitzer, and of Naudin, for the last competition of the brand. Also in 1912, following a disagreement with one of their investors, the two Sizaire brothers left their company, to found a new one in London the following year, Sizaire-Berwick, with the help of the local importer for Corre La Licorne, Frederick William Berwick. It will remain in activity until 1927, in Courbevoie and Park Royal. After the war, the old French company restarted under the name of Socit des nouvelles establishments Sizaire and Naudin, then it disappeared in 1921, despite a furtive reappearance in the race the same year in the Coupe des Voiturettes du Mans. At the Paris Motor Show in 1919, a Type D 2.3L Torpdo. four-seater was however presented to the public.
