The Renault Alpine A210 Coupe 1967 was a French sports car produced by the Renault Car Company to replace its popular predecessor, the Alpine A108. The A210 was a two-seat, mid-engine coupe, first introduced in 1967, with a wheelbase of 91.3in and a length of 156.2in. It was a unique design with its streamlined body and wrap-around windshield. The Alpine A210 featured an anodized aluminium-bodied frame along with a rear-mounted engine, making it the first mid-engine sports car ever to be produced by a major automotive manufacturer. Its low weight and aerodynamic shape provided tremendous acceleration with a top speed of 120 mph and a 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds. The engine powering the Alpine A210 was a 1.6 litre inline-4 which was able to deliver 105 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. It was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, which demonstrated excellent performance while driving. The braking system was comprised of Inboard torsion bar suspension up front along with disc brakes at each corner, ensuring fast and responsive handling. The interior of the A210 was bare bones, with minimalistic styling. It featured black leather bucket seats, along with a three-spoke steering wheel and a simple dash layout. Other standard features included air conditioning, roll-down windows, and a radio. The Renault Alpine A210 was a distinctively styled vehicle that portrayed an iconic image of performance and luxury. Its ability to match exuberant performance with classic style appealed to an audience of both racers and automotive enthusiasts.
