The 1956 Opel L56 Van was a timeless classic that perfectly balanced the best of classic design with modern features. Constructed with sturdy steel, this compact van was made for reliability and had a long-lasting body. Its iconic trapezoidal grille was complemented by an aesthetics-pleasing front bumper and chrome bumper guards. The doors featured two-tone paint depending on the trim package, and the roof had a classic sloped configuration that shielded occupants from wind and rain. Inside, the stylish interior was outfitted with comfortable seats and plenty of storage space. Power came from a 1.7 liter 4-cylinder engine, which was more than capable of carrying the load without giving up performance. The comforting ride was supported by an independent suspension and beefy drum brakes. The L56 Van was designed for the family that needed practicality, but didn't want to sacrifice style and comfort.
