Specifications Morris Mini Cooper S 1275cc Hatchback 1964 blueprint

The Morris Mini Cooper S 1275cc Hatchback of 1964 is considered a timeless icon of British motoring. This small but incredibly powerful 4-seater hatchback was designed by Alec Issigonis in 1959 and remains one of the most iconic cars ever built. With its pint-sized dimensions, it could fit in to any tight spot and, with its 1275cc engine, possess enough power to stay ahead of the competition. This car represented a revolution in small cars and has been one of the most highly sought-after cars of all time. The standard exterior features included a smooth, curved roofline, chrome trim and a racing-style metal grille. It was produced in numerous colours, with the most iconic being the classic Mini Cooper S rally red. Its classic livery also featured flared wheel arches and a pair of chrome-accented spotlights which added to the race-inspired appearance. The interior of the Morris Mini Cooper S 1275cc hatchback reflects the overall construction of the car - its compact yet spacious dimensions make it easy to get around, whilst its classic materials such as leather, vinyl and wood-veneers lend a feeling of luxury. Its dashboard struts the original speedometer, RPM counter, rev-counter and fuel gauge. Exuding British style, this classic Mini Cooper S also housed an iconic gear-stick situated on the center console and plays a part in creating the unique driving experience. Under-the-hood, the Morris Mini Cooper S 1275cc hatchback was initially fitted with an 1,275cc four-cylinder Austin A-Series engine. This engine displaced a mere 1275cc and was capable of producing up to 46 horsepower. With the help of a roots-type supercharger, this capable motor was also able to generate up to 77 horsepower. This provided a top speed of up to 170 km/h and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 11.2 seconds. The Morris Mini Cooper S 1275cc needs no introduction and remains one of the most iconic cars ever made. With its signature style and performance, this classic hatchback stands proudly at the forefront of classic motoring and continues to capture the imagination of enthusiasts around the world.
