The Mercury Zephyr Ghia 2 Door Sedan 1980 is an iconic car that was launched in the same year as the last generation of the famous Ford Granada, featuring unique and bold style. It was a top-of-the-line car that made a statement, with its sleek and modern design. It had a swept-back profile, characterized by a curved and sloped hood with a low stance. It came with aerodynamic lines running along the body, starting in the grille and going to the wraparound tail lamps. The car had plenty of chrome details that gave it a distinguished, luxurious look, like the two thick silver strips on the sides of door windows and below the sleek headlights. The interior of the Mercury Zephyr had a nice design with all-black seats, interior trims, and steering wheel. The dashboard had a modern look, hosting plenty of features such as a clock, air-conditioning, and radio. It also provided a comfortable ride, thanks to the 4-wheel independent suspension and power-assisted steering. The Mercury Zephyr was powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine, which had a 70 hp output and was mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. It wasnt the most powerful engine but it was efficient enough to provide a decent performance. As for safety, the Mercury Zephyr was fitted with front dual brakes and a dual-circuit braking system, as well as an energy-absorbing steering column for added protection. All in all, the Mercury Zephyr was a great car that was ahead of its time, combining comfort, style, and safety in one stunning package.
