The McLaren MP4/6 OW is a highly sought-after Formula One race car that was designed and built in 1991 to achieve maximum speed and performance in the FIA's first-ever world championship season. The car was powered by the Honda V12 engine, boasting a top speed of over 215 mph. It featured a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, double-wishbone front suspension, transversely-mounted pushrod suspension, and semi-automatic transmission. The car ran on Michelin race tires, and its aerodynamics were designed to provide maximum downforce. It featured a beautifully sculpted bodywork, with the carbon fiber airbox sitting atop a long, tapered nose and its bulging side pods giving it an aggressive look. Power was delivered to the rear wheels through a 5-speed longitudinal gearbox, which could be shifted either manually or semi-automatically. The driver would be seated in an height adjustable seat, while the cockpit was designed to provide all the necessary controls for the driver. On the track, the car was capable of dominating the competition, winning five out of the nine Grands Prix it entered in the 1991 season. To this day, the McLaren MP4/6 OW is remembered as one of the greatest Formula One cars ever built, and is highly sought-after by collectors and racers alike.
