The Jaguar R1 F1 OW 2000 is a single-seat racing car, used by the Jaguar Racing team in the 2000 Formula One World Championship. Developed with the help of Ford and Cosworth engines, the car was designed specifically to compete in the fiercely competitive 2000 season. Built in Reynard Racing Cars' British base, the car was an integral part of the team for two years until the team ceased to exist in 2002. In terms of performance, the R1 F1 OW 2000 was able to perform exceptionally well at high speeds, due to its aerodynamic design. This design, combined with the Cosworth engines, enabled the car to remain competitive throughout the championship. The R1's 8-cylinder engine was capable of an impressive 800bhp, allowing it to reach 0-60 mph in only 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 200mph. The cockpit was constructed from lightweight aluminium and featured custom-made Recaro bucket seats, offering both comfort and support during races. Other features included twin adjustable pedals, a lightweight steering wheel, and an integrated FIA approved data-logging device, allowing drivers to monitor the performance of the car throughout a race.
