The International 1200A Truck is a classic vehicle from the 1960s. Produced from 1966 to 1968, the 1200A was designed to be a versatile workhorse for commercial and consumer purposes. Its construction was primarily steel, with a square cab and flat-nose design. The cab was spacious, offering three full-size doors and seating for up to three passengers, and plenty of head and elbow room. On the outside, it featured a stylish chrome grille and full-size side-view mirrors. Under the hood came the International "DT-407" V8 engine, an upgrade from the previous "DT-360". The engine was rated to produce between 210 and 230 horsepower, and 361 lb-ft of torque. It came with a single overhead cam and an air injection carburettor for increased efficiency. The powerplant was mated to either a four-speed manual or three-speed automatic transmission. The International 1200A had two axles and a leaf-spring suspension system for increased load-hauling ability. It had a 9,000-lb. GVWR limit, and it came standard with a single-speed drive-axle and a limited-slip differential. The brakes were hydraulically operated drums, located on all four wheels. The parking options included a power roller system, as well as a conventional steering wheel. The 1200A also came with a variety of customization options, such as wheelbases ranging from 110 to 142 inches, and a variety of cab and bed sizes. The International 1200A made a name for itself in the truck market for its reliability and durability. With its classic style and timeless design, the 1200A remains a favorite of truck enthusiasts to this day.
