Specifications Lloyd LT-600 Pick-up 1955 blueprint

The Lloyd LT 500 was a small commercial vehicle produced by Lloyd Motoren Werke G.b.m.H of Bremen between 1953 and 1957. From April 1954, the passenger version was also available. This model had six seats, including the driver. This vehicle was equipped with a two-stroke engine of 386cc displacement which produced an output of 13 PS. In a road test of the time it was found that the fully loaded passenger transport version had a weight / power ratio of 95 kg per horsepower. Under these conditions the maximum speed was 60 km / h (37 mph) which rose to 75 km / h (47 mph) if the load carried was less. The steering, the vibrations and, specifically, the three-speed gearbox without synchronizer received several criticisms even by 1953 standards. Other criticisms were made to the comfort of the passenger compartment which was characterized by the absence of a ventilation system and insufficient heating. The judgments of journalists were positive on the ease with which the seats could be removed to transform the vehicle from passenger transport to freight transport. From 1955 the LT 500 was produced together with the Lloyd LT 600 which replaced it and which remained in production until 1961. The main difference between the two models was the larger displacement four-stroke engine.
