The Hanomag SS-100 Truck 1945 is a rare and iconic World War II-era truck, produced by the Hannoversche Maschinenbau Aktiengesellschaft (or Hanomag) company in Germany. This heavy-duty truck was originally used to transport troops, equipment, and materials during the war. The SS-100 is highly recognizable due to its modernized design and distinct blue coloring. The SS-100 is an all-wheel drive vehicle, fitted with a front and rear differential, that powered by a powerful 6-cylinder diesel engine. Amazingly, this engine with 132 hp was strong enough to move the entire truck and its cargo with a maximum speed of 75 km/h (46 mph) on the road. An interesting feature of this heavy-duty truck is that it can be equipped with an auxiliary drive, consisting of two axles driven by a PTO connected to the main engine. On this auxiliary drive, the GVW of the SS-100 can be increased to 17 tons in order to transport additional supplies. The truck also features a heavy-duty suspension system that can meet the demands of any type of terrain. Apart from its engine and chassis design, this truck is also highly acclaimed for its high-quality, robust bodywork. This legendary SS-100 truck has an overall length of 5,350 mm (209.4in) and a width of 2,250 mm (88.6in). It is topped off with a distinctive cab, giving it an aerodynamic shape and a modern look. The truck is equipped with two doors, which can easily be opened and closed from the exterior. In addition to that, it has two headlamps framing the front grille, a wide windshield, and iconic Hanomag-branded emblems. Whether used as a war vehicle or as a support for construction, the Hanomag SS-100 truck from 1945 proved to be a reliable companion for many, offering impressive performance and excellent versatility.
