Specifications Ferrari F187 88 C Italy GP OW 1988 blueprint

The Ferrari F187 88 C is a classic Formula One racing car that has long been associated with Italian style and excellence. This red-orange stunner was built between 1987 and 1989 and was the last Formula One car to feature a flat-12 engine. It remains one of the most visually pleasing to this day, and served as the mount of many notable drivers from the 80s and early 90s, including future world champion Jean Alesi. Reaching speeds of up to 210mph, the F187 88 C was a speedy and reliable car, primarily manufactured out of light-weight racing aluminum. It featured a tremendous chassis, a dominating rear wing, and a very distinctive shape that gave a unique look both from the side and above. The interior was accessible for drivers, and contained a luxurious and comfortable cockpit with a more relaxed seating arrangement compared to other models. The steering wheel was equipped with bright LCD readouts and switches for an easy-to-read display during drives. From a technical standpoint, the Ferrari F187 88 C featured a reliable customer flat-12 cylinder engine. Displacing 3.5 liters, the engine was capable of up to 600 horsepower and provided a great deal of torque and power. To control this, the car had a 4-speed transaxle gearbox and a Bosch Motronic engine control unit. Furthermore, the chassis itself was also extremely robust and well-made, conforming to the regulations set by the International Automobile Safety Federation while providing a strong foundation from which to maneuver around courses. In summary, the Ferrari F187 88 C Italy GP OW 1988 is a timeless marriage of Italian luxury, power, and reliable Formula One engineering. Boasting an advanced chassis, an efficient engine, and a luxurious cockpit, it provided excellent performance when it was released and still remains a popular car among racing enthusiasts.
