The EuroBrun ER189 Judd OW 1989 is a Formula One racing car and represents the prototypical single-seater, open wheel, open cockpit racing car experience. It was designed by the Italian Formula 1 team EuroBrun and is powered by a 3.5 liter Judd PW V8 engine. This engine capability provides the car with a maximum power output of around 600 horsepower and 385 Nm torque at 11,500 rpm. Its combined with a Magneti Marelli/six-speed manual gearbox and a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis. The car is known for its aerodynamic symmetrical design, which features multiple aerodynamic elements such as front and rear diffusers, vertical endplates, and a striking shark-fin engine cover. Its bodywork was also noted for its angular and sharp lines that were intended to create a fast and aesthetically pleasing vehicle. The cars suspension system consists of independent suspension with coil springs and double wishbones both at the front and rear, and the car is equipped with a conventional hydraulic braking system. This Formula 1 race car also includes a range of driver aids such as three-level traction control software, carbon brakes, and carbon fiber disc wheels. Its also equipped with a Kevlar fuel tank and titanium fuel lines that run along the cars center of gravity. Finally, the EuroBrun ER189s engine has a 5.5:1 compression ratio and can reach speeds of up to 230 mph.
