The Bugatti Type 30 GP OW 1922 was a two-seater racing car produced by the famous French car manufacturer, Bugatti. It was a part of the successful GP series of cars and was raced in the 1922, 1923 and 1924 Grand Prix seasons. It featured a 3.0 litre inline 8 cylinder engine which enabled it to achieve a top speed of 105 mph. This engine was mated to a four-speed manual transmission with a chain drive which allowed the driver to vary the gear ratio according to track conditions. The Bugatti Type 30 GP OW 1922 had a lightweight chassis with a wheelbase of 140 cm and a weight of only 720 kg. It was equipped with a racing-style suspension system with a double wishbone set-up in the front and a rigid axle in the rear. The body of the car was made from aluminium panels and featured several aerodynamic louvres. It had a length of 475 cm, a width of 177 cm and a height of 147 cm. The Type 30 GP OW was considered to be the most successful of the GP series, thanks to its powerful engine and light weight. Its performance was so outstanding that it went on to win numerous races during the 1922-24 Grand Prix season. Even after its production ended, many racing enthusiasts admired its performance and style, making it a classic Bugatti.
