The Bristol 407 Sedan of 1961 was a classic luxury car produced by Bristol Cars. It was a two door saloon car that featured a distinctive design, and was one of the last models manufactured by the company before they stopped production in the mid 1960s. This model had a length of 16ft 1 inch, a width of 6ft 5.6 inches and a height of 5ft 6.3 inches. The Bristol 407 had a classic British look with a boxy, yet sleek design which was sure to turn heads on the street. It featured chrome accents on the grille and window borders, as well as a touch of wood trim around the interior for a stylishly elegant overall appearance. The 407 also featured a Double-skin Airflow bodyshell and a Bristol-Dial dashboard that had a maximum engine speed limit of 5,000 rpm. Performance wise, the Bristol 407 was powered by a 4.1 litre straight-six engine coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox, which could achieve a top speed of 115 mph. Despite its heavyweight chassis, drivers found it quite nimble to drive, with an energetic feel and responsive steering. The interior of the Bristol 407 was designed for utmost comfort, with its luxurious leather seats and an ample legroom that could comfortably seat up to 4 passengers. As a bonus, the car also came with an impressive audio system, with a choice of either an AM or FM radio. All in all, the Bristol 407 was a great luxury car with class, comfort, and a spirited driving experience. Despite its classic styling and performance, it was unfortunately not as accessible as contemporary cars and prices for the Bristol 407 quickly dropped once production had stopped. Today, the car is still a valuable find and a great vehicle for any classic car collector.
